The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is recalling Forenzas from the 2004 to 2006 period and Renos from the 2005 to 2006 period. The recall will affect over 100000 Suzukis manufactured between 2003 and 2006.
Owners are encouraged to contact Suzuki or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration if they own these models. The recall is due to malfunctioning electrical components within the headlamps that could cause the headlights to fail.
Local news sources in Gonzales TX stated that 24-year old Eduardo Leal was injured on August 15 2012 in Gonzales when a semi-truck hit him as Leal tried to cross Highway 183. According to reports Leal was crossing 183 on foot near Sarah DeWitt Drive when a northbound semi-truck collided with him sending him about 30 feet.

Pioglitazone hydrochloride otherwise known as Actos is used to treat type two diabetes. Although the new generic form of Actos will be more affordable to consumers there are still several side effects that are concerning. Similar to the non-generic version of Actos there is the possibility of two to three times the risk of bladder cancer and an increased risk of heart failure.
Similar drugs such as Avandia have been banned in Europe due to the increased likelihood of cardiovascular disease and Rezulin has been banned completely because of its link to hepatitis. Several lawsuits have been filed because consumers who developed bladder cancer from taking Actos argue they were not adequately warned of the potential risks.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) has alerted consumers to a recall of the Flushmate III Pressure-Assisted Flushing System. Consumers have reported that the product has been exploding causing blunt force trauma and lacerations in some cases. Those who purchased a Flushmate III Pressure-Assisted Flushing System are being told to shut off the water supply to the toilet and to contact the manufacturer.
The devices were produced between the years of 1997 through 2008 and sold at supply stores such as Lowes and Home Depot. The USCPSC estimates that over two million toilets in the United States have been produced with the Flushmate device.
Local San Antonio TX news reports stated that a driver was left injured after a semi-truck rollover accident in Converse. Police said that 40-year old Juan Castro was driving a semi-truck west along Interstate 10 near FM 1516 when he lost control. According to Castro sources said the semi-truck experienced a tire blowout causing the vehicle to jackknife and overturn spilling its cargo of lumber.

Representatives from Chrysler state that certain seven-seat Durango models were installed with the wrong airbag occupant restraint control module. The company will replace without cost to consumers the defective modules starting in September of this year. The recall applies to all Dodge Durango models that were produced from April 11th of this year to July 20th.
Chrysler states that the recall is necessary because if the vehicle is involved in a collision to the rear side of the Durango the air bag may not deploy as intended and will increase the risk of injury to any occupant behind the second row of the vehicle. The recall will affect 1500 Chrysler Dodge Durango models.
Officials at the Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that Gerber has recalled roughly 119000 units of their Bear Grylls Parang Machetes due to a breakage and laceration hazard. Sources said that the machete has the potential to break in a weak area where the blade and the handle are joined. The company said that if the blade breaks free from the handle laceration injuries can occur.
Gerber said that 24 instances have occurred in which the machetes blade has broken including one case that resulted in a nonfatal laceration injury. The affected models were 31-000698 31-00157 and 30-0006010. Consumers can contact Gerber for a replacement reports said.
