Callaway County, MO — 55-year-old Richard Wiseman was injured in a two-vehicle car accident that occurred on U.S. 54 on Sunday, December 20, around 12:30 p.m.
According the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 82-yar-old Norman Porter allegedly pulled out in front of Wiseman’s vehicle, causing Wiseman to swerve to avoid the collision. Wiseman veered off the side of the road and flipped over.
Wiseman suffered serious injuries and was rushed to University Hospital. He was apparently not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. It is not clear if driver inattention or a medical condition may have contributed to this incident. Police are still investigating.
