According to local news sources a man in Victoria TX was injured on August 17 2012 after a vehicle struck him in a parking lot. 63-year old David Lucio was reportedly walking through a parking lot at approximately 12:00 p.m. when a truck began to back out of a parking space and struck him.

13-year old Girl Injured in Huffman, TX After Alleged Drunk Driving Wreck
Local news sources in Huffman TX stated that a girl was injured on June 26 2012 after a two-car accident along FM 2100. Police said that Charles Christopher Roberts 29 was driving above the posted speed limit along FM 2100 when he struck the back of a yellow Ford Mustang. The collision trapped a 13-year old female passenger in the Mustang and emergency workers were required to cut her out of the wreckage.

13-Year Old Girl Injured in Austin, TX Hit-and-Run
According to local news sources a car accident in Austin TX left one 13-year old girl with critical injuries on August 17 2012. Police in Austin said that 24-year old Lauren Renee Cherry was driving along Metric Boulevard in the 12200 block when she swerved off the road for unknown reasons. Her car then struck a 13-year old girl who was walking on a sidewalk with a group.

Brian Jones, Mike McClendon Injured After Plane Crash near Gilmer, TX
According to local news reports two men were injured in Gilmer TX after their single-engine plane crash on August 21 2012. Gilmer police said that Brian Jones and Mike McClendon were in a 1971 Thorp T-18 aircraft and had just taken off from a local airport when the plane lost power. The specific cause was not released.

General Motors Announces Third Recall for The Month of August
The recall affects 2006 to 2007 mid-size sport utility vehicles including: The GMC Envoy Saab 9-7X Chevrolet Trailblazer Isuzu Ascender and Buick Rainier. Customers are encouraged to contact the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration for more information.
This is the third recall for GM this month. Previously GM recalled over 10000 vans for rusted and leaking fuel filler pipes; the company also issued recalls for Chevrolet Impala’s sold for use by the police due to fracturing front suspension control arms. The latter recall extends to over 36000 vehicles.
