According to Beaumont TX news reports an accident on June 17 2012 left one man in a coma and an unnamed woman with head trauma. Police said that Douglas Dommert was struck while riding a motorcycle and suffered severe head trauma leaving him in a coma as of June 27 2012. They reported that Dommert was riding a Harley-Davidson along East Cardinal with an unnamed woman as a passenger when the bike was struck by a Honda Accord at about 2:48 in the morning.

Local news reports in San Antonio TX stated that 29-year old Dana Leigh Carlson was injured when a vehicle struck the van that she was driving. Police reported that Carlson was driving along Interstate 10 near FM 1516 when she was struck by 28-year old Sara Finleys vehicle. Allegedly Finley was under the influence of alcohol when she had crashed into a parked semi-truck on the side of the road then swerved back into traffic and struck Carlsons van police said.

According to Tyler TX news sources two people were injured and taken to a hospital after an incident with an angry driver. 24-year old Francisco Carrillo and 26-year old Brandi Baker were injured when they were struck by angry driver Roderick Brazzle 34. Police said that Brazzle was at a tattoo shop and was involved in an early-morning altercation when he drive his car into the building and struck Carrillo Baker and Herman Boles.

Local news reports in Conroe TX stated that Chris Salisbury was injured in an accident that may have involved a driver under the influence of alcohol. Police said that Salisbury who is a recent graduate of Caney Creek High School was driving in a pickup truck along FM 1485 when a 1999 Blazer struck him from behind.

According to studies conducted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission an estimated 9600 injuries were reported in 2011 that were related to firework usage. Allegedly the 30 days that surround the 4th of July holiday see about 65% of the 9600 injuries. The most common source of firework accidents is the unexpected lighting or ignition of an explosive device.
Reportedly there were 4 deaths reported in 2011 from commercial grade or homemade fireworks. The CPSC stated that the majority of the accident with fireworks involved emergency room treatment and usually involve facial injuries. Lacerated burned or lost fingers are also a common injury when dealing with fireworks reports said and the CPSC urged consumers to exercise caution when lighting fireworks especially if using a homemade device.
According to local news reports an Eagle Pass TX accident along FM 1588 left one man with moderate injuries. Police said that Francisco Peres was riding his motorcycle along FM 1588 and lost control after striking a deer that was crossing the roadway.

According to San Antonio TX news reports a single-car rollover accident near downtown San Antonio left one person injured. Police at the site said that 18-year old Alexia Martinez was injured as a passenger in the Ford Explorer that overturned. They said that the car was driven by 21-year old Felix Garcia who reportedly struck the concrete barrier on I-35 near McCullough Road and overturned.

According to Decatur TX news reports a motorcycle accident along US 380 left one person injured on June 24 2012. Shawn Day 60 was reported as injured after he crashed his motorcycle and flew over a guardrail on US 380s exit ramp to US 287. Day was thrown from the motorcycle and injured in the crash.

Local news reports in East Texas stated that a two-vehicle wreck in Lufkin TX left one woman injured. Sources said that 39-year old Andrea Watson was driving along John Reddit Drive in Lufkin when another vehicle attempted to cross the road and struck her vehicle.

According to local news reports in San Antonio a pedestrian accident on June 16 2012 left 39-year old Arturo Carrillo in critical condition. Police at the site said that Carrillo was walking into traffic on Loop 410 when he was struck by 51-year old Anthony Gibbons. The accident happened at night they said.
