According to Decatur TX news reports a motorcycle accident along US 380 left one person injured on June 24 2012. Shawn Day 60 was reported as injured after he crashed his motorcycle and flew over a guardrail on US 380s exit ramp to US 287. Day was thrown from the motorcycle and injured in the crash.

Police said that Day was taken via medical helicopter to the Wise Regional Health System but his condition was not released. Apparently Day had exited US 380 and was riding along the ramp toward US 287 when he crashed his bike while trying to avoid the guardrail.
