UPDATE: James Doyle Killed in Plane Crash Outside Waxahachie, Texas

WAXAHACHIE, TX — One man was killed in a plane crash that was reported just outside Waxahachie, Texas on Saturday, June 28th, 2014, according to the news report from The Fort Worth Star Telegram.

Representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration have said that they believe 48-year-old James Doyle was killed when the aircraft he was flying crashed for reasons currently under investigation while flying over the Mid-Way Regional Airport around 5:00 Saturday afternoon.

Scene of the Accident

James Doyle was killed in the crash. It is not clear from the report if there were any other injuries sustained in the crash.

The FAA and NTSB is investigating the accident.

Commentary:

In any kind of aviation accident, the main thing people are looking for above all else is answers, and the truth behind what may have happened to their loved one. Car accident investigations usually yield semi-conclusive results within a few weeks, but with aircraft, and the limited agencies that investigate them, the answers could take upwards of six months to a year to come. This could also interfere with statues of limitations, and other methods of filing a claim should the aircraft manufacturer be liable. Either way, an independent investigation can yield answers faster, and tell victims what may have gone wrong sooner than government investigation channels.
