Monday, July 29th 2013 — Kaghy Sam, 29, was identified in reports as a man who was injured as he fled the scene of Monday’s Blue Rhino Propane plant explosion in Tavares, FL. Sam was fleeing the scene of the explosion immediately after it happened, only to inadvertently run into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Scene of the Accident:
Sam was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident, but it was not clear how severe those injuries might have been, nor what his admission condition was upon arriving at ORMC. Sam is said to be an employee of Blue Rhino Propane, and has been for at least 2 years, according to investigating officers.
