According to recent news reports from Houston Texas a two-year-old child has suffered injury after reportedly falling from the second-story balcony of an apartment complex located in the 6200 block of Pinemont on Sunday March 27 around 4 p.m. The child was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital then later taken by air to the Texas Medical Center. When accidents happen to children that result in serious injury a number of issues must often be looked into in order to determine why such an accident could occur in the first place. Was the balcony unsafe in any way? Did the property owner know about any possible issues? Was the child being supervised? If negligent behavior by any involved entity is suspected of being a contributing factor to this unfortunate accident an independent investigation may be pursued that can look into such issues.
