A pickup truck rear-ended a Bastrop ISD school bus on Friday October 29 on Highway 21 near Cedar Creek Texas. Ten people were sent to the hospital as a result of the wreck. The bus slowed down when a Ford pickup rear-ended the school bus. The driver of the pickup was taken to University Medical Center-Brackenridge and treated for serious neck and back injuries. The driver of the school bus and eight passengers were taken to the same hospital and were listed in stable condition.
Simple negligence in auto accidents is still negligence. As such the driver of the pickup truck could be held liable for the financial losses that the injured victims have incurred as a result of the accident. The injured people can contact their respective family attorneys in order to see what legal options they may have in order to hold the driver or any other possible liable parties accountable for their negligence.
