Tuesday, June 25th 2013– Rakesh D. Bhagavan was the driver of a Toyota that was involved in a fatal accident with a Jeep on Tuesday in Cass County, MO. Bhagavan sustained only minor injuries in the accident which claimed the life of an occupant within his vehicle and left five other people with minor to severe injuries.
Scene of the Accident:
According to reports, a Jeep and a Toyota were both southbound on Interstate 49 when the Jeep attempted to overtake the Toyota. For reasons not yet known, the Toyota braked and the Jeep was unable to stop sufficiently, causing the Jeep to rear-end the Toyota. None of the occupants of the Toyota, which contained two children, were wearing seat belts during the accident. One passenger of the Toyota was killed.
