Wednesday, May 29th 2013– Inspectors from OSHA are currently conducting an investigation into what could have caused a large metal beam to fall on a worker and seriously injure the man’s leg. It is not clear exactly how the beam fell, nor how far it fell before hitting the injured man. He was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he was admitted in serious, but stable condition.
Scene of the Accident:
Emergency responders found the injured man conscious at the scene, and able to speak. Multiple investigations into the accident are currently underway, and the man’s identity is likely not being reported pending the outcome of that one or more of those investigations.
