I'm a former employee. I had brought up this exact scenario and suggested a maintenance procedure that would eliminate the possibility of this type injury. Obviously my warning went unheeded.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

A lot of people say smack about lawyers, but I want to say that I'm glad there is a way that people who are wronged by corporate neglect can get justice and force change. We are living in a world where corporations and govt care less than ever about common people, and I support your work. I hope I will never need your services.

Thank you for posting these accident articles on your site. At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.

  1. I am Officer David Dunaway. You need more information posted on your blog to understand the totality of the incident. So please feel free to add to it as you see fit. On June 21st 2010 at approximately 2230 hrs, a Johnson County Deputy started calling out for help over the radio as he was being attaced by several assailants while on a domestic desturbance. I checked in route and could only guess what he was going through and what I was going to find when I arrived on scene as he continued to call out for help. As I continued to get to the Officer I approched the top of a hill and as soon as you top the hill there is a 90 degree turn to the right. There was no warning. No signs, reflectors, no nothing just the tree. I was trapped in the vehicle for two hours as several different fire departments took turns trying to get me out. This is were the nightmare starts. I lived, but life has not been the same. I could write several books over the diferent horrors that myself and my family has gone through. It took me several hours to respond to this but with my name being on your front page I wanted to give you the full story in hopes that you would maybe make some additions for me.

    Thanks for your time,
    David Dunaway
