Monday, April 29th 2013– A school bus transporting students to Palm Springs Middle School in Hialeah was the middle vehicle in a three-car accident that left twelve students injured on Monday.
Scene of the Accident:
According to officials with the Miami/Dade Fire Department, the bus was rear-ended by a car, then slammed into one in front of it. Twelve students were transported to area hospitals with undisclosed injuries, but the bus driver refused to be taken to the hospital. Two students were uninjured, and went to school. Investigation is still ongoing in regards to this case, but reports are surfacing that the driver did take a phone call prior to the accident.
