Tuesday, April 30th 2013– The Metco Bus that transports children from Boston to suburban schools was involved in an accident on route 9 outside of Newton, MA at roughly 7:30 a.m. Initial reports say that eleven people, including the bus driver, were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.

According to police, “34 middle school students as well as the driver were taken to the hospital as a precaution after their school bus was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Newton, and 11 were treated for injuries”. Initial reports cite that 34 people were hospitalized, but police reports are indicating that only eleven people were treated for injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
