According to official statements, a woman in Greenwood, AR was driving with three children in the car when she spilled her coffee. In her attempt to retrieve the coffee she had dropped, she somehow drover her car off the road and into a ditch.
Approximate Area of the Accident:
Once the car was in the ditch, fuel started leaking. A fire then started after a lighting fixture in the car apparently sparked the spilled fuel. A Greenwood Police Officer arrived on scene with enough time to put out the fire and get the family out of the car. Police reports indicate that the woman’s husband was able to transport all those in the car to the hospital, but no information was available on the nature of injuries that were sustained.
