Officials in charge of the investigation from the Maryland State Highway Authority in conjunction with representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have identified the identified the individual injured in a work accident in Millington, MD on Monday, March 18th, 2013. Police and accident investigators currently suspect Nicholas Daniels sustained injury on the job when his supervisor struck him with a pickup truck. The report does not explicitly illustrate Daniels’ positioning relative to the vehicle that struck him at the time of the accident.
Scene of the Accident
According to the report, Nicholas Daniels sustained massive injuries in the accident and was subsequently transported by emergency response personnel to nearby University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where an update on his condition was not made immediately available by hospital staff. The investigation into the fatal accident is currently active and ongoing. No other fatalities or injuries were reported stemming from the accident. Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials are currently evaluating the circumstances of the accident.
