Eagle Pass, TX authorities said that 24-year old Yara Romo and her 22-month old son were taken to a hospital in Eagle Pass last Wednesday morning (February 20) after a car accident. Romo’s car was hit at 2nd Street and Veterans Boulevard on Wednesday morning by a 16-year old boy in a Grand Prix.
Romo was reportedly driving a Buick along Veterans when the accident happened. The 16-year old driver of the Grand Prix, who wasn’t initially named, fled the scene but was apprehended a short time later. The accident is still under investigation and Yara and her son were taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
