Lubbock, TX officials have confirmed that of the two emergency paramedics who were injured on Monday (February 25, 2013) evening when their ambulance overturned on Loop 289, 29-year old Chris Colpitts has been upgraded to satisfactory condition. The accident happened near Slide Road on eastbound Loop 289 and also injured the ambulance’s driver, 41-year old Kim Pelletier.

Pelletier was driving east on Loop 289 when she lost control near Slide Road and struck the concrete divider for the east and westbound lanes. The ambulance then continued eastward before overturning and landing on its driver’s side. Colpitts and Pelletier, who were responding to an emergency call at the time of the wreck, were both transported to UMC with serious injuries. While Pelletier remains in serious condition, Colpitts was upgraded to satisfactory condition on Tuesday night.
