Officials from the Ohio State Police have identified the individual who was seriously injured in a Athens, OH accident in which authorities suspect the driver was intoxicated. Police currently believe that Shawn McKee was seriously injured when the vehicle in which he was a passenger possibly experienced a loss of control while navigating a cure in Highway 78 on January 29th, 2013.
The vehicle subsequently vacated the roadway and collided with two-trees just off the pavement. According to the report, Shawn McKee was transported via emergency helicopter to Grant Medical Center, where his condition was not made immediately available to the public. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Shelby Vore has since been charged with aggravated vehicular assault, in addition to Operating Vehicle Impaired in connection with the accident.
