The Connecticut State Police have not yet identified the pedestrian who was critically injured when they were struck by a suspected drunk driver in Fairfield, CT on January 27th, 2013. Police currently suspect that Chad Reck may have been under the influence of alcohol when the vehicle he operated struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Longfellow and Castle Avenues.

According to the report, the pedestrian was struck so violently the individual was thrown through the windshield of the vehicle. The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where his condition was not made immediately available. Chad Reck has since been charged with driving under the influence in connection with the accident. The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing at this juncture, and authorities hope to release more information to the public as it becomes available.
