Lubbock, TX — Two people were hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Lubbock, Texas, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. The accident happened in the 5300 block of Chicago Avenue, around 9:00 at night.
The two people who were hurt in the crash were identified as 38-year-old Robert Mehl, and 30-year-old Megan Sherwood. They were headed south on Chicago and they tried passing another vehicle ahead of it, as well as a Jeep Wrangler that was making a left-hand turn ahead of that vehicle, on their left-hand side.
Both Mehl and Sherwood had to be taken to University Medical Center for treatment. Both had suffered serious injuries in the crash.
It didn’t appear that those inside the Jeep or the other vehicle were hurt.
The accident is being investigated by the Lubbock Police Department.
