Meridian, TX — There was a two-car accident between a Meridian PD patrol car and a pickup truck that left the officer with injuries. Her name wasn’t given, but the news said that the female officer was taken to a Waco Hospital, Baylor Scott & White, for her treatment.
The accident happened at about 10:00 p.m. last night (Wednesday, July 22, 2015) along Highway 6.
It appears that the officer was responding to another officer’s call for help containing a suspect. She was apparently trying to turn across the southbound lanes when she was accidentally hit by a pickup truck headed south.
Though the MPD officer was injured, it’s not clear if the other driver was hurt.
