Rockford, IL — A man named Elzajat Jakupi, 41 years old, was badly injured and had to be hospitalized in critical condition after his motorcycle was hit by a suspected drunk driver. This happened on Friday morning, June 19, 2015 and the driver who hit him was identified as 33-year old Nicole Reynolds.
This accident happened along North Perryville Road, they said, at the intersection with Crimson Ridge Drive.
Jakupi had been riding his motorcycle south on Perryville in the early morning hours when Reynolds (who had also been going south) crashed into the back of his bike. He was ejected from the motorcycle and taken to a hospital with serous injuries.
After police arrived at the accident scene, Reynolds was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
