LOUDON, TN — Officials from the Department of Transportation have not yet released the name of the worker that was injured in an explosion in Loudon, Tennessee on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015. News reports said that the accident took place sometime Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said that one man was hurt after an explosion happened while working on a bridge near the Ft Loudon Dam. The report said that the worker may have been working with a torch at the time of the blast.
The worker was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
It is not clear if officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have begun their investigation at this point.
