Commentary
I don’t think it’ll surprise anyone to learn that drivers have a responsibility to their passengers whenever they’re out on the road together. Any driver whose passengers are hurt because of something they did can be held responsible for it. And rightfully so. Looking at this accident specifically, cutting off a semi-truck showed a huge disregard for the safety of the passengers inside the vehicle. I don’t think drivers should be barred from every driving again whenever something like this happens, but they do need to be held accountable for it. Luckily, people in this crash were only injured. Things could have turned out much worse.
