Construction accidents like this one can sometimes be a little tricky, because on big job sites like this you can sometimes have employees from several different companies all working on different projects that overlap each other in some way. Now, a typical work accident will be covered by workers’ comp. However, if another company is found to have played a role in whatever caused the accident in the first place, then the injured worker would have grounds to file a claim against them. They would still be eligible for those workers’ comp benefits, as the accident still happened on the job, but liability for the accident would potentially fall on the other company.
