According to local news reports from the Thousand Oaks, CA area, a car collided with a power transformer on Calle Yucca, leaving over 100 people without power and injuring the driver and his passenger. Police said that David Bishop, 21, was driving west on Yucca at about 11:10 p.m. when he lost control for unknown reasons and lef the roadway, hitting a transformer and a pine tree near Calle Angosta.

The wreck left both he and his passenger, 20-year old Erin Espinoza, with nonfatal injuries and they were taken to a local hospital to receive treatment. Police did not state why the accident occurred, but said that they are investigating the matter further. An estimated 130 people in the Thousand Oaks area were without power after Bishop crashed into the transformer.
