Torch, OH — There was an accident along Route 50 this past Monday (March 9, 2015) that left a woman from Coolville injured. Police said Erin Travis, 50, was injured after her car was in an accident with an 18-wheeler truck at about 11:15 a.m. Monday morning.
The way the news reports describe this accident, Travis may have pulled off Route 50 in her Dodge SUV without yielding when she was hit by a passing semi-truck.
The police reported that Travis was driving east on Route that morning when she tried to turn left onto Torch Road. But as she did so, her SUV was hit broadside by a westbound semi-truck driven by 45-year old Jackson resident Jerry Logan.
Police said that Travis had to be flown to a nearby hospital and was last said to be in treatment, but it’s not clear how bad her injuries were. Logan wasn’t harmed by the collision, the news said, and it doesn’t look like he’ll face any traffic citations either. Travis, however, may.
