Silver Spring, MD — A man died following a two-vehicle crash in Silver Spring, Maryland, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. The accident took place on Georgia Avenue, near Janet Road.
According to local reports, a 72-year old man was driving a Cadillac north on Georgia, and rear-ended a work truck. The collision caused him to cross the road’s median before coming to a stop in the oncoming lanes of traffic. He was killed in the accident.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim, pending notification of the man’s family. The name of the work truck driver has also not been released.
No others were involved in the crash, and no other injuries were reported.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
