Three Rivers, MI — There was a fatal accident at the U.S. 60 and U.S. 131 exchange in Three Rivers last week that left two people injured, Mark Thompson and his son, Sean Thompson.
The accident happened at about 11:00 p.m. last Friday night, December 5, 2014. Mark Thompson, 57, was driving his minivan east along U.S. 60 that night with Sean as his passenger when they were in a wreck at the aforementioned intersection with a semi-truck that was headed south on U.S. 131.
The impact left both Mark and Sean in serious condition, news reports said, but the semi-truck driver wasn’t injured at all. His name was later released as Sefjudin Pargan, 38 years old.
The news reports didn’t really go into detail to explain who was at fault or if any charges would be filed, but the accident tis still going to be investigated.
Scene of the Accident
The traffic going east-west appears to have had a flashing red light, which might mean that the victim driver is at fault here. However, I don’t ever make assumptions without getting all the information because even the police reports and the news outlets get details wrong sometimes.
