According to Paradise, TX news reports, 30-year old Joseph Hake was severely injured in a September 10, 2012 car accident and remained in critical condition as of September 22. Police said that Hake was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck along School House Road and lost control of the vehicle near Private Road 3484 at approximately 12:00 a.m.

Hake was severely injured and burned when the Ford pickup truck crashed into a tree off the roadway and caught fire. He was flow to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX and was listed in critical condition. He continues to receive medical attention for third-degree burns and broken bones.
