Atlantic Beach, NC — Apparently, there was a major accident along Highway 58 in the Atlantic Beach area earlier this week the caused some injuries. It happened just north of Cape Carteret this past Tuesday evening, October 7, 2014 at around 7:48 p.m.
Not many details were released about the wreck, but it involved an 18-wheeler truck and at least one other vehicle. At least one person was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries, but no other details were offered.
Police said they’d investigate a bit more and also noted that they hadn’t filed charges as of Wednesday, October 8.
