AUSTIN, TX — One woman was killed and two people were sent to the hospital after a collision in Austin, Texas on Sunday, September 14th, 2014, according to the news article from KVUE.
Diana Espinal was killed when the vehicle she was in is believed to have been struck by a vehicle that left the pavement and drove over the median into the lanes of oncoming traffic while driving in the 900 block of Bastrop Highway. Espinal’s vehicle was struck broadside.
Authorities and fire department officials that responded to the accident pronounced Diana Espinal dead on the scene when emergency personnel arrived.
Two other people were taken to a nearby hospital where updates on their conditions were immediately unavailable.
The Austin Police are still investigating the possible cause of the fatal accident.
