Commentary:
There are a few details about this accident that have grabbed my attention. Namely, the fact that a vehicle the size of a school bus overturned. I’ve researched large and commercial vehicle accidents I’ve never come across one where the vehicle overturned that was driving at a speed that was safe and appropriate for conditions. If this school bus was speeding when it flipped, or was driving too fast for a turn and rolled, then the school district is probably going to bear some fault, but with any kind of government vehicle, there are miles of red tape set up to disqualify cases before they even become an issue. This is why time is of the essence in situations like this.
