HOUSTON, TX — A collision between an SUV and a passenger car left a mother dead and her child in the hospital in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014, according to the article released by News92FM.
Police say that a woman was killed and a baby was hurt when a car collided with a Chevy Suburban SUV after authorities think one of the vehicles ran the red light while driving through the intersection of Chimney Rock and North Braeswood around 6:00 Tuesday morning.

First responders pronounced the woman dead on the scene, while her child was taken to a nearby hospital for unspecified injuries. The driver and two passengers in the suburban were also hurt in the accident.
Houston Police are still working to determine the cause of the accident at this time.
