San Antonio, TX — Five people were injured in an accident police believe may have been caused by alcohol in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, August 9, 2014. The accident tookp lace in the 10000 block of Pearsall Road, around 2:30 in the afternoon.
According to reports, a donkey-drawn wagon carrying five people including the driver, was rear-ended by a white pickup truck. The wagon was carrying five adults and two children, aged six and three. All five were taken to University Hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene and attempted to hide from police in the woods. He was found and arrested a short time later. Police say he appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The driver, whose name was not released, could potentially be charged with five counts of intoxication assault.
