Local Lakeport TX news reports stated that a multi-car accident on August 17 2012 left three people injured. Police in the area said that the accident happened along Highway 149 near its intersection with Jet Drive. A Dodge Challenger was reportedly driving along Highway 149 when it was involved in a head-on collision with a red pickup truck.

Immediately after the initial collision a red truck also collided with the wreckage unable to stop in time. A man and woman in the red truck were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries. Sources also said that the male driver of the green truck was also taken to a hospital with allegedly life-threatening injuries. Further updates were expected to follow though no names were released in the accident.
