Hello my name is Ricky reeder this article is about me. I just wanted to let some people know my story out there I was walking on the night of August 4th from my girlfriends house we had just a really steamed argument and I was out walking to get some fresh air and to blow off some steam. So I went for a walk down hollaman drive and I was walking on the left side of the road that way I could see if someone was coming I could move out of the way. So I was walking and my gf and I were arguing on the phone and I had hung up on her and I was in the process of sending her a txt message when out of nowhere everything went black for a second and then I woke up face down in the middle of a ditch. I had no idea what had just happened but all I could feel was excruciating amounts of pain. I have never been in so much pain in my life. So I was there lying in the ditch couldn’t move my legs at all or anything and the driver stopped and got out of the vehicle walked halfway over to me seen me…. And I looked at the man and cried out please help me…. I can’t move my legs and I hurt so bad….and the man turned away and got back in the car and drove off. Left me lying in the ditch….I then was blacking in and out not really sure what happened after that… I was told that people where driving by and saw me waiving my hand from the ditch. I’m so glad that they had found me cause if it not been for them I probably would have died in that ditch. so however the recovery process was horrible of course I had broken the majority of my bones from the waist down I was stuck to a wheel chair for 9 months I had to complete Learn how to rewalk again. It was so hard to do, I had to relearn how to rebalance myself and everything. But I have made a somewhat successful recovery. I know live an everyday life with reconstructed metal hips an entire rebuilt metal pelvis. It’s a bit tough sometimes cause the arthritis is already starting to kick in but I’m glad to be alive. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys to let you know what happened in my point of view and I’d like to thank the couple who found me for saving my life. It is greatly appreciated.
