Commentary
Police who questioned the woman found that she was very drunk, remembered being at a bar the previous night, but couldn’t remember anything else that had happened. If that’s the case, then it’s very possible that this young woman was over-served at the bar. In Texas, if a person is visibly intoxicated, and the bar doesn’t cut them off, and that person goes out and gets into an accident, then the bar can also be held liable. The bar this woman was at needs to be checked out. Is there security camera footage that can be looked at? Are there employees there the police can question? There’s a very good chance that what’s discovered is going to shed a lot of light on what happened.
