Commentary:
The details of this accident in the news article are sparse to say the least, but I’m curious as to the layout of the road where the accident took place. If the car was turning out of the parking lot – which is my best guesstimate based on the pictures in the article, then I’d be interested in learning the speed of the truck when the accident happened. If the victim in the car was trying to turn, if the truck was speeding, it may have been difficult or impossible to judge the turn and the timing. If this turns out to be what happened, then the truck would more than likely bear the brunt of the fault in the accident.
