Commentary:
Based on what I’m seeing in the news summary, the company in charge of the tanker truck and its driver could be in for a serious line of questioning about the accident. I see three possibilities here, either the driver was speeding and couldnt slow or stop the truck to avoid the accident, or the driver was distracted and it was too late by the time he looked up, or the truck suffered a steering or brake failure. In any case, the trucking company could be taking the hit for this accident if this news article turns out to be accurate.
