According to East Texas news reports a car accident between two vehicles left both drivers injured. Police said that 23-year old Casey Patterson was struck by 24-year old Lawrence Woodham; Woodham was believed to be under the influence of alcohol according to the accident reports.

After the impact Patterson was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition from his injuries. The accident occurred just after midnight on June 13 2012. Police said that Patterson was making a left turn at the intersection of South Loop 323 and Troup Highway when Woodham collided with him. Woodham was also moderately injured and arrested for intoxication assault authorities said.
