Commentary
If leaving the scene of an accident doesn’t look good to police, leaving the scene of an accident and being found washing your car is going to look much worse. These men obviously had something to hide, and were trying to get rid of any evidence. Typically, when several people are in a car that flees the scene of an accident, the passengers are kind of at the whim of the driver. The may not have a chance to get out and render aid to the victim. In this case, however, all three men were found tampering with evidence. That makes them all liable, and criminal charges can be brought against them.
