Nassau County, NY — A man was killed Monday in an accident that took place in Nassau County, New York. The accident occurred on Belt Parkway, between Springfield and Merrick Blvds. around 4:15 in the morning.
Kendall Heard was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan being driven by Sharlene Numa. The car was driving along Beltway when it collided with a Mercedes. It overturned before coming to a stop near South Conduit Avenue.
Both Heard and Numa were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Heard was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Mercedes was also injured and was taken to Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream. He is reported to be in stable condition.
Numa was arrested by NYPD and brought up on drunk driving charges. The investigation is still ongoing.
