VICTORIA, TX — One person was killed and several people were hospitalized after a serious traffic accident that happened in Victoria, Texas on Saturday, March 1st, 2014, according to a report from The Victoria Advocate.
Police have said that they have reason to believe 21-year-old Stephen Laquay was hurt when the car he was in became involved in a rear-end collision while driving on The Port Lavaca Causeway. The accident was reported early Sunday morning.

Stephen Laquay was taken to nearby Citizens Medical Center where he was treated and released for his injuries. Killed in the accident was 17-year-old Estevan Marin, who was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Officials from the Texas Highway Patrol are currently in charge of the investigation and hope to release more information at a later time.
