One Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident at Richmond and Dunvale in Houston, Texas


HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run accident in Houston, Texas left one person dead on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014, according to a release from KTRK.

Police say an unidentified man was hit by a car as he was walking along or attempting to cross the intersection of Richmond and Dunvale around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday. The SUV that hit him did not stay on scene.

Scene of the Accident

The pedestrian died after being struck by the vehicle. No other injuries were outlined in the report.

Officials are currently looking for a dark colored SUV in connection with the accident.

Houston Police officials are currently leading the crash investigation.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.

  1. thats wrong, yehias was a awesome guy, waiter at chillis on westheimer on greenridge. I hope who ever did this to him is going to get caught soon. they left him out in the cold dying alone. how crewl do you need to be to leave a person out like that. yeh, was a great friend and family person to all his workers. I hope that HPD catch this ass hole. thats wrong of them to hit and run what a coward.
