HARDIN COUNTY, TX — A two-vehicle crash left two teenagers dead in Kountze, TX on Friday, January 3rd, 2013, according to a news report from KJAS.
Police believe 16-year-old Savion Smith was killed when the car he was a passenger in was struck by a Chevrolet SUV while attempting to turn onto Colonial Road from Highway 69. The accident was reported just before 5:00 p.m.

Paramedics pronounced Savion Smith dead at the scene when they arrived. Also killed in the crash was 18-year-old Keiron Edwards. The driver of the car was identified by police as Jacob Eppes, who was also hurt, along with additional passenger Thomas Bueller.
Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety are currently handling the investigation.
