Allied Van Lines has been ordered to pay $31.8 million to a group of Texas residents whose SUV was thrown into the air and caught fire. The accident resulted in the death of 2 people and seriously burning two others. The Allied moving van slammed into traffic stopped by another minor accident.
About 70 percent of the money was awarded to Lisa Guerra and her friend Joe Alfaro both 20 at the time of the 2003 wreck for medical expenses lost earning capacity disfigurement and pain and suffering.
