Representatives in charge of the investigation from the New York State Police have released the name of the 49-year-old woman hurt in a road accident in Lewis County, NY on Saturday, October 19th, 2013, according to WWNY. Police currently have reason to believe Ramona Schwendler was hurt when the car she drove drifted into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer while driving down Highway 12.

According to the statement released by officials, Ramona Schwendler sustained massive injuries in the accident and was subsequently transported by paramedics to St Elizabeth’s Hospital where an update on her condition was not made immediately available by hospital staff. Police expect to release more information about the crash as their investigation progresses.
