Police from the Utah Highway Patrol have released the name of the 47-year-old man that was killed in a car accident in Woods Cross, UT on Thursday, October 24th, 2013, according to DesertNews.com. Officials believe Trent Hansen was killed when the car he was in drove into a construction zone and struck a tow truck while navigating near the intersection of 1500 South and 1450 West.

The police report indicates that Trent Hansen sustained critical injuries in the impact and was taken by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center where he died a short time after his arrival. The driver of the car was later identified by authorities as David Helm, who currently faces drunk driving related charges stemming from the crash. Officials from both local and state agencies are said to be investigating the nature of the accident.
